As I wrote yesterday, there is a serious need for healing, health, and restoration in the world at this time yet what is the missing piece to this puzzle? There is a definite lack of understanding among the brethren preventing the anointing power to be released. Is FATHER simply withholding this healing anointing? Is the problem in Heaven? No, I believe the source of the problem resides here on earth.
Mankind has resorted to formulas and concoctions for healing rather than seeking FATHER in a most earnest manner. Much of our focus has been redirected to the external realm rather than understanding the internal, spiritual source of health and healing. Don’t get me wrong, I am not opposed to seeking medical professional assistance if I am unable to receive healing through Spiritual avenues. What it tells me is that there is something impeding FATHER’S healing power from flowing in me to address my malady. Until I know the source of the problem, I should seek relief of what ever is ailing me so that I can return my focus to the core issue. What happened to me in 1984 is a perfect example of this situation.
In the spring of 1984 I was diagnosed with hepatitis from shellfish and it was the worst case the clinic had ever seen. They later told me they thought I would die. I had been believing FATHER for Divine health for years and had walked accordingly. “Why did this happen?’ I asked. HE said, “You are void of MY Word in this area!” My mind needed renewed to the reality of HIS Word in my life. The healing flow had ceased and I had not realized the need to keep nourished in this area of The Word. Life throws many challenges our way and we are exposed to many adverse conditions and I had become predisposed to dealing with issues rather than keeping refreshed in HIS Word. I needed to gain a full understanding in this area.
Once FATHER explained my weakness to me, I responded and was miraculously healed. HIS Word healed me. HE gave me the understanding that would serve me well in future situations. It was a lesson I would never forget. Once you have been healed by HIS Healing Power, you know that HIS best is for you to be healed by HIM. HE did not discourage me from going to the doctor for HE knew I was lacking in the revelation required for healing to take place. We should not feel guilty if we missed the mark but simply correct the situation and move forward. The goal is to mature in our understanding so that we can live in a more productive manner and minister life to others.
I said all that to say this, HE awoke me this morning to this passage in Ephesians chapter 3:
17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—
19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
If you want to gain a full understanding, YOU MUST be rooted and grounded in Love… PERIOD! Failure to understand this passage will only result in further heartache and frustration. Now is the time to focus on committing to (or recommitting to) this path. Your ability to comprehend and receive the fullness of FATHER in your life is determined by your Love walk. Without this core commitment all your other activities and focus will not sustain you in the times ahead. Simply repent and refocus.
