Being A Follower Of Christ

By THE SPIRIT Matthew wrote in chapter 12:

22 Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw.

23 And all the multitudes were amazed and said, “Could this be the Son of David?”

24 Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, “This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.”

Jesus had just cast out a demon and was accused of being aligned with satan.  Jesus removed the demon keeping a man from being able to speak and hear but instead of praising Our Heavenly Father, the Pharisees sought to discredit Jesus.  Can you believe how those who want to control others’ lives can be so bold as to challenge the miracles performed before their very eyes?  Their spiritual blindness was truly great.  Jesus spoke:

25 But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.

26 If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?

27 And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges.

28 But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.

29 Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.

30 He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.”

The solution to our problems is always found at a higher level than the problem.  Sin and sickness is not resolved at the same level where it occurs or it would not have occurred in the first place.  Man cannot save himself thus he must seek a higher power to save him from his sin.  Miracles are not performed by men but instead they originate from FATHER and men are simply the vessels used by FATHER.  Jesus spent more time healing the sick and casting out demons than preaching salvation.  Why?  The needs of the multitudes were great and Jesus was filled with compassion.  We too should be focused on serving mankind by accessing the Power from Above.  Instead, many have simply become observers of the Gospel rather than followers of Christ and actively walking in His footsteps.

We must not be intimidated by demons, sickness, or disease.  Rather than agree with man’s diagnosis of the problem, we should seek Heaven’s solution to the problem.  Some solutions may require much prayer and fasting but Jesus never spoke of impossibilities.  On the contrary, He provided the solution to man’s problems.  As a follower of Christ we should press in and expect results even greater than what Jesus produced.  Why?  Because Jesus specifically said in John 14:12-14:

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.  And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”

Those who are embracing the revelation of Love will most assuredly pursue this declaration.  This is not a time to sit back and watch but instead the time is at hand to be stirred up and rededicate our priorities as followers of Christ.  A follower will pursue that same narrow path that Jesus walked.  We should expect the same fruit to come forth… even greater as our Elder Brother declared.  There are those who will fall by the wayside but it is their choice to allow “the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in to choke the Word”.  My responsibility to those who read this Is to present the choice given to us.  Until the Kingdom of FATHER has fully manifested, there is much for us to do.  Let us be doers of The Word and not hearers only.
