Peace Be Unto You

It is written by THE SPIRIT in Psalm 29:

11 The LORD will give strength to His people;

The LORD will bless His people with peace.

In times of upheaval FATHER will bless us with peace knowing that HIS Divine plan is being executed according to HIS Wisdom.  On the other hand those who are not among HIS believers will find difficulty in achieving any peace whatsoever.  The determining factor is where one places his trust.  The things of the world are temporary by nature and do not retain their value so we should not rely on them when the upheaval arrives.

FATHER provides us with the same principles of warfare as HE did with the children of Israel when they were dealing with their enemies.  In Deuteronomy chapter 20 it is written:

1 “When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the LORD your God is with you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.

2 So it shall be, when you are on the verge of battle, that the priest shall approach and speak to the people.

3 And he shall say to them, ‘Hear, O Israel: Today you are on the verge of battle with your enemies. Do not let your heart faint, do not be afraid, and do not tremble or be terrified because of them;

4 for the LORD your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.’

FATHER does not change or vary from HIS commitment to HIS people.  We must place our trust IN HIM to lead us, guide us, protect us, and supply our need rather than trust man who is subject to change depending on the latest circumstances to arise.  As we fully place our trust in FATHER peace will reign in our lives.  If we find ourselves in a battle we must look to FATHER for victory and not let our hearts grow faint with fear.

When we are at peace we can think move clearly and act accordingly.  We are not desperate and thus people will look to us for answers when their peace is taken from them.  Pharaoh had a dream that took his peace away and that opened the door for Joseph to rise up into the fullness of his calling.  In Genesis chapter 41:

8 Now it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt and all its wise men. And Pharaoh told them his dreams, but there was no one who could interpret them for Pharaoh.

When your spirit is troubled you will seek someone who can resolve the issue and Pharaoh ultimately sought out Joseph when no one else could satisfy his troubled spirit.  Pharaoh had plenty of resources but none of those resources could deal with his problem.  Only a man who had a personal, intimate relationship with FATHER could provide the interpretation to the dream.  That relationship propelled Joseph to the position of ruling the people, only second to Pharaoh.

We must not forget where our peace comes from and if we are troubled, let us go before FATHER and seek HIS Face until peace comes forth in our hearts.  We can now appreciate why Paul concluded HIS letter to the Ephesians in chapter 6 with:

23 Peace to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

24 Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
