The Need To Change

We all need to change.  With the recent school shootings, people are demanding change but are missing the point.  You cannot legislate forced behavior and expect success.  You cannot restrict access to guns and expect the end of shootings.  The culprit will simply find another way to carry out his or her intent.  What must change is the “intent” of people.  The answer lies in the law of seedtime and harvest.  In Genesis chapter 8, FATHER spoke:

22 “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest,

Cold and heat, Winter and summer,

And day and night shall not cease.”

If we sow Love into others, the harvest will be Love.  If we sow division, alienation, and criticism into others, the harvest will be the outworking of death and destruction.  I cannot overemphasize the need to utilize this law to effect change in each of us.  As we change internally, we will produce external results reflecting what was planted in our hearts.  Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Galatians chapter 6:

7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Paul urges you and me not to grow weary but let patience have its perfect work.  The more seed I plant in my heart by studying and pondering The Word, the greater the harvest.  If I don’t like what I see in the external, then I should focus on FATHER’S promises which address those internal issues by dwelling and confessing those promises.  I must guard my heart from allowing the cares of the world to compromise my focus.

What should we expect when we have changed into a more mature believer?  Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 5:

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

As we testify of FATHER’S work in our lives, men will glorify Our Heavenly Father.  We take no credit for the good fruit produced but instead we direct men to focus on Our Lord Jesus Christ and Our Heavenly Father.

Before The LORD’S prayer was removed from school in the U.S., children received The Word as seed planted in their hearts.  There was no need for onsite police or metal detectors.  As that generation departed the school system, violence and disobedience began to rise dramatically.  No longer did children who had no parental guidance reverence Our Heavenly FATHER.  Social media has exacerbated the problem by showing no Love or concern for those in need.  Love is the only answer and we need to change until we walk in the fullness of unconditional Love.

Jesus spoke in Mark chapter 7:

21 “For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

22 thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.

23 All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”

Jesus clarified the point that the internal ultimately results in observable fruit, whether good or bad.
