Examining Ourselves

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in 1 Corinthians chapter 11:

27 Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.

29 For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.

30 For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep.

When we read the above passage, we must not condemn ourselves or others who have been dealing with sickness and disease.  Notice that Paul uses the term “many” in the above passage.  We have had little or no true understanding of the meaning of communion as we have partaken of it in the past.  I have heard countless “mini-sermons” on communion prior to receiving it in the past yet I partook of it with little understanding of its ramification on me personally.

In Leviticus chapter 7, FATHER spoke to Moses:

26 “Moreover you shall not eat any blood in any of your dwellings, whether of bird or beast.

27 Whoever eats any blood, that person shall be cut off from his people.”

Partaking of the blood meant that you would die and be cut off from your people yet Jesus instructed the disciples to partake of His blood.  The fact is our old man is meant to die and be cut off once and for all.  As we allow the old man who would guide us by soulish logic and reasoning, we begin to trust in our five senses and no longer walk in faith for our healing.  I had to examine myself when I came down with a serious disease and found that I had slowly drifted away from the simplicity of Christ, especially in the area of healing.  From 1995 to 2005, my focus revolved around teaching which was based more on the logical details within the Scripture rather than the simplicity of walking in faith by the blood of Jesus Christ.  More time was spent in the Old Testament which simply pointed to the New Testament.  More time was spent on the complexities in and around the Word than exercising simple faith and walking in Love.  No time was spent in the area of healing through His Word.

FATHER told me in 1998 that something noteworthy would happen in 2005.  Of course I wanted it to happen sooner.  In those seven years I was exposed to much activity that did little to keep my faith strong and to fully trust in my ability to hear The Holy Spirit as I had previously.  In 2005, HE directed me to focus solely on Agape Love which had been missing in most of the teaching I was receiving in the previous ten years.  I missed the boat in one sense but FATHER used that decade to reveal much to me which now allows me to no longer be moved by any teaching which does not center itself on Jesus Christ and the pure Word from a perspective of Agape Love.  It makes it easy to discern intent when people speak or write.

I share these things with you so you won’t think that you are by yourself when you look back at past errors in judgment.  FATHER, in HIS great grace and mercy, has sustained you and me for such a time as this.  We must not beat ourselves up for the past or failure to walk in full understanding.  Let us simply die to the flesh and discern communion properly so that we can walk according to the fullness of THE SPIRIT.  Let each of us examine ourselves, get back to a daily walk in CHRIST, and not allow any teaching to draw us away from this Christ-centered focus.
