FATHER first deals with your spiritual issues. However, we have to get to the end of ourselves. The solution to our current issues lies with our relationship with Jesus Christ. Most of us don’t really understand eternity which is necessary to understand ourselves. Being born again means that we don’t fit in with the world and its goals, customs, and expectations.
We are called to be separate from the world. Holiness is ownership meaning we have been adopted into Sonship. Our mind, will, and emotions must be renewed so that we are truly transformed in order to walk as mature sons and daughters.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2 Corinthians chapter 10:
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
Every thought is subject to the sifting of The Holy Spirit. You may be able to watch your words, but are you watching your thoughts as well? Those thoughts reflect your true condition. Do you get upset at a car that cuts you off or do you acknowledge that this is a broken world and those things will happen?
When you read FATHER’S Word and question HIS intention, you are not yet fully trusting IN HIM. If we truly believe the Word to be absolute Truth, we will respond in trust. You may have been brought up in an environment where most don’t keep their word and now you have to overcome that programming.
I am not in charge of my life, FATHER is. Since that is the case, I seek to do HIS perfect Will in all areas, including my thought life. If I am told to renew my mind and do not be conformed to this world, then I must make it a priority. Only then will I be able to prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of Our Heavenly Father. That proof determines my daily walk and the state of peace that I walk in. When I am challenged by the world, I no longer respond based on the soul’s position. I respond with the Word as Jesus did when He was tested.
When the Word comes to you, you will either embrace It or confront it. I choose to embrace It and dramatically reduce the amount of time to maturity. I was once hard-headed but that time has passed and now I simply prefer to do the Words of Jesus without confronting or challenging it with soulish reckoning.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 5:
1 Be imitators of God in everything you do, for then you will represent your Father as his Beloved Sons and Daughters.
If you imitate Jesus, you are imitating Our Heavenly Father. This is what we are called to do. In Ephesians 1, Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit:
4 And HE chose us to be his very own, joining us to HIMSELF even before HE laid the foundation of the universe! Because of his great love, HE ordained us, so that we would be seen as holy in HIS eyes with an unstained innocence.
You and I are meant to represent FATHER before the world as we are called to be “imitators” of HIM in all areas of our life. Just as a son imitates his earthly father, we are to walk in the likeness of Our Heavenly Father. HE ordained this before the foundation of the world. It is written in our Heavenly books describing our destiny (Psalm 139:16).
11 Through our union with Christ we too have been claimed by God as HIS own inheritance. Before we were even born, he gave us our destiny; that we would fulfill the plan of GOD WHO always accomplishes every purpose and plan in HIS heart.
As you and I passionately seek to walk in the fullness by being led of The Holy Spirit in all areas, we will become fitly joined together with the Chief Cornerstone, Our Lord Jesus Christ. Our lives will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power made available to us through faith. Then our lives will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through us!
Let us bring our minds into full subjection so that the immeasurable greatness of HIS power will operate consistently and bless others.
