Unhooking Our Past Associations- Part 3

Jesus spoke the following in John chapter 10:

11 I am the Good Shepherd who lays down My life as a sacrifice for the sheep. 12–13 But the worker who serves only for wages is not a real shepherd. Because he has no heart for the sheep he will run away and abandon them when he sees the wolf coming. And then the wolf mauls the sheep, drags them off, and scatters them.

Jesus differentiates Himself from a “hireling” who does not have the flock’s best interest at heart.  The hireling is in it for the money and will bolt when danger comes to the door.  He will run away and abandon the flock.  How sad!  This is in contrast to Agape Love and FATHER’S commitment to the sheep.  Jesus and FATHER have the same heart for the sheep as He openly conveys in the following passage:

14 “I alone am the Good Shepherd, and I know those whose hearts are Mine, for they recognize Me and know Me, 15 just as My Father knows My heart and I know My Father’s heart. I am ready to give My life for the sheep.

Jesus has a full commitment to you and me, without exception.

16 “And I have other sheep that I will gather which are not of this Jewish flock. And I, their Shepherd, must lead them too, and they will follow Me and listen to My voice. And I will join them all into one flock with one Shepherd.

This includes you and me.  It started with the Jewish flock but we were adopted into the flock where we will remain forever.  His Word is unconditional as His Love is.  What a blessing!

17 “The Father has an intense Love for Me because I freely give My own life—to raise it up again. 18 I surrender My own life, and no one has the power to take My life from me. I have the authority to lay it down and the power to take it back again. This is the destiny My Father has set before Me.”

This is how safe we are because Jesus takes care of the wolves for us.  This is part of our Covenant which needs to be enforced.

How do we please FATHER?  It is written by The Holy Spirit in Hebrews chapter 11:

6 And without faith living within us it would be impossible to please God. For we come to God in faith knowing that HE is real and that HE rewards the faith of those who give all their passion and strength into seeking HIM.

We are to give all our passion and strength into seeking HIM every day, not just occasionally as it is convenient.  How passionate are you?  Are you willing to once and for all disconnect from past associations which have no future?  This includes any covenant and/or agreement with unrighteous associations.  They must be expressed as being null and void.

I had to remove associations with those who I found to be fraudulent in their business dealings even though they presented themselves as faithful believers.  As we press into FATHER’S perfect plan for us, HE will expose those unrighteous associations which were hidden by the adversary for years.

Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 18:

5 “And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on My behalf is welcoming Me. 6 But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in Me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea.

7 “What sorrow awaits the world, because it tempts people to sin. Temptations are inevitable, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting.

Abortion, sex trafficking, and kidnapping are all included in the judgment Jesus spoke about when He threatened those who adversely affect His children.

We are to have childlike faith as one who trusts in Jesus.  Without trust, it is impossible to please GOD for trust and faith are synonymous.  Jesus spoke in Luke chapter 18:

15 One day some parents brought their little children to Jesus so He could touch and bless them. But when the disciples saw this, they scolded the parents for bothering Him.

16 Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples, “Let the children come to Me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. 17 I tell you the Truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”

We are to have childlike faith when it comes to belonging to The Kingdom.  We should have no reluctance in accepting GOD as Our Father Who Loves us with unconditional acceptance.

Our childlike faith and trust are hindered when we are still dealing with past associations adversely affecting our mindsets.  They must be fully unlinked in order to fully embrace that childlike faith in Our Heavenly Father.
